This book consists of two grade school textbooks that were published together in a single book: "Virginia's History and Geography" (copyright 1965, 328 pages) and "Our Home, Virginia and the World" (copyright 1962, 94 pages). The book was one of the textbooks that perpetuated the "Lost Cause of the South" mythology by barely mentioning slavery and by blaming the start of the Civil War on the northern states.
