Hopkinson taught anatomy at the University of Pennsylvania. Joseph Pancoast (1805-1882) was a groundbreaking American surgeon; he led the department of anatomy at Jefferson Medical College from 1841 to 1874. In Very Good Condition: disbound from a larger volume, resulting in 2 closed tears from gutter of 2-3 cm. in first 2 leaves; light foxing; otherwise, clean and bright.
