Neil Ellis Orts was born and raised in Central Texas, east of Austin. He received his B.F.A. degree in Theater Arts from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He attended Lutheran Seminary in Austin. Orts is pursuing a variety of writing goals.
