The Way Within is dramatically different from other books on spiritual growth because it gives you simple tools, insights and techniques so that you can enjoy first-hand experience of enlightenment rather than hearing second hand anecdotes and sayings that have been handed down by the mystics. The Way Within offers you the chance to experience for yourself what the mystics have been pointing at down the ages.
The Way With is called a direct path because it takes you directly to awareness. In this sense, it is about transformation and not change, transformation is instantaneous and enduring whereas change is incremental and temporary.
We live in an age of seekers and seeking. It’s ironic that while we seem to have more material wealth, and as a society are rapidly overcoming worldly problems like diseases and malnutrition, many of us are troubled by a deep sense of lack. The problem is not the seeking but our lack of finding peace and satisfaction.
Transformation brings and end to seeking. It leads to the love, peace and happiness that we all seek. It helps you to see past all the stories we tell our self and come to know our true nature. Change, adjusts and adds to the stories we tell about ourselves, whereas transformation leads to the dropping of the story awakening to our true nature.
The awakening we are speaking about is not the end, it is just an end to seeking. The Way Within offers you a new beginning, once awake the challenge is to live a life mindfully, to live authentically, to know oneness and to live increasingly from the place of love.
At its most simple this book helps you to look within, it helps you to redirect your attention so that you can experience your true nature as awareness. Then gradually with awareness look on the world not just from awareness but as awareness. The goal is to identify yourself with awareness, rather than with the separate self. Enlightenment is just this knowing and acceptance of our true nature.
James Capra is a master of the mystic landscape and a brilliant way-shower. In this book, he goes beyond words and offers you his hand as he guides you on a personal exploration of the ‘Way Within’. In these pages, you will find the support, love, tools, and techniques you need to awaken to the love, peace and happiness that we all desire.
The path to enlightenment is lined with spiritual traps and rabbit holes. James skillfully brings these to the reader’s attention so that progress on this mystical journey is swift and so nobody gets lost or distracted.
