This is the very desirable 2nd edition of the G. C. Meriam Company unabridged Webster's dictionary, this version of the dictionary is in 3 volumes, published in 1954, printed in 1957, bound in dark red leather-like cloth with bright gold lettering on the spine and front cover, 3194pp + "Reference History of the United States and Canada" (146pp) + "Index to Classified Illustrations" (105pp). CONDITION: Overall very nice (VG+). Cover has slight loss of color on the corners and edges due to general wear and a few very minor surface scratches; there is a name/address written inside the front cover of volume 1 otherwise the interiors are clean and unmarked; no thumb tabs are missing; each volume has a very slight binding split - volume 1 after the copyright page, volume 2 at page 1055, and volume 3 at the first blank page at the end of the book - these are very minor and do not affect using the book.
