Chris Mattison BSc has an honours degree in zoology from the University of Sheffield and specialises in the natural history of reptiles and amphibians. He has written more than 20 books, including Bearded Dragons (Interpet Publishing, 2011), and many magazine articles on reptiles and amphibians, other wildlife topics and nature photography. Over the years he has made many field trips to various parts of the world, including several visits to North, Central and South America, the Galapagos Islands, southern Africa, East Africa, Southeast Asia, Borneo, Australia and Madagascar, to study and photograph wildlife. He has lectured to audiences in England, Scotland, Wales, Sweden, Finland, Holland and the United States on the natural history of reptiles and amphibians and nature photography.
