When God Surprises: The Parable of the Labourers in the Vineyard takes you on a profound and thought-provoking journey into one of Jesus' most astonishing teachings, found in Matthew 20:1-16. Joseph Klaus unpacks each verse of this parable, bringing its transformative lessons into the context of our modern lives. You will explore questions such as: Why does God's justice often feel so different from ours? What does it mean to live under grace instead of merit? How can we embrace a mindset free of comparison and entitlement? This book is divided into three key parts: The Divine Call and the Human Response - Discover how God calls each of us into His vineyard, regardless of who we are or when we arrive. The Grace that Challenges Our Justice - Examine the unsettling generosity of God's reward and learn to replace comparison with gratitude. The Paradox of the Kingdom - Reflect on Jesus' profound statement: "The last shall be first, and the first shall be last."Combining deep theological insight with practical application, Rev.
