Apple of The New York Times. Bantam, 1974. First printing with a qualified near fine minus condition. It is pretty apparent this paperback of significant age is unread; it is square, tight without any creases on the spine. There is a corner crease on the back cover and the pages are toned as would be expected from a 1974 book. There is some light shelfwear on the covers, but I think this was a book that sat on someone's shelf untouched for many years with the rear cover crease present probably from the first time it was wedged between other books on a shelf. (see photos). Overall a very sharp copy with one notable cosmetic flaw. This is the first mass-market paperback edition issued shortly after the Watergate hearings and the release of the transcripts. This historic volume reproduces the Watergate White House tapes in official transcript form, offering an unprecedented and unfiltered look into the conversations that led to President Nixon?s resignation.
