What Early Reader’s Say:

“The White Mouse by Kevin Robinson is the third book in a series featuring a Native American population of Miccosukee people in the Florida Everglades west of Miami. The authors’ intimate knowledge and insight into the native ideology and lifeways is what compelled the story line and the primary cast of characters whose stories continue to unfold throughout the series, yet stand alone in each novel. In The White Mouse, Rachel Blackfeather, tribal elder Joe Walking Fish, and an unsuspecting university professor go on a Quixotic quest to find out who is dumping poisonous substances into the Everglades. Kevin Robinson has done a brilliant job, a creative and twisting tale of love, reunion, intrigue, hope, humility, Native American and environmental activism all rolled up into a well told tale.”   ~~ Helene van Berge-Landry

“What a fun read! Enjoyed it through and through.”  ~~  Bar Scott, author of The Present Giver

“This third novel in the Ghostwalker trilogy is a favorite. The characters are real and provide lots of bantering and laughs! The women are determined. Hemingway, the beagle, has a winning personality that you will grow to love. This mystery has many twists and turns, and Rachel’s community is one that you will remember long after you finish this upbeat novel.”   ~~ Eleanor Apuzzo

About the Book:

Rachel Blackfeather is a freshman elementary education major at the University of Miami. She grew up on the Miccosukee rez and is John Ghostwalker's closest adopted sister. Her parents (Nate and Marion) are worried. So is her boyfriend, Miccosukee Police Officer, Billy Stillwater. Rachel loves mystery and crime shows on TV, can be a tad mercurial emotionally, and has two immediate problems. First, her internal life compass isn't working. Second, elder Joe Walking Fish has coerced her into his quest to catch someone who is secretly dumping a highly toxic substance into the Everglades...oh, and help him divert sixteen million dollars in research funding. What could possibly go wrong?

Sixty-Six-year-old quadriplegic freelance writer Kevin Robinson says his Ghostwalker Tribe Series took on an unusual life of its own: “After over 30 years writing on contract, for a host of industry publishers, I’m finally writing for me, telling stories that move and inspire me.” The White Mouse takes this late-in-life-project to trilogy status, but Robinson is already busy with Book Four: The Sisterhood of the Rhinestone Eye. “These characters just captured me,” the author says, “and they just won’t let go.” Watch for the mysterious Sisterhood of the Rhinestone Eye in 2018, and keep up with Robinson’s progress at www.backdeck.net.
