Neuware - How do you know if God has really called you into ministry It is one of the most important-and often one of the most misunderstood-questions a Christian can ask. Many people feel a deep desire to serve Christ. Some possess obvious gifts.Others receive opportunities to preach, teach or lead. But desire is not the same as calling.Gifting is not the same as sending. And opportunity is not always confirmation. So how do you know How can you distinguish between your own ambitions and the voice of the Chief Shepherd How do you recognise a genuine call from Christ These are not merely theological questions. They are deeply personal ones. They shape the course of a lifetime. Get the answer wrong, and you may spend years pursuing a ministry Christ never intended for you-or, just as tragically, spend years resisting the very calling He has lovingly placed upon your life.In Who Sent You , Brendon Naicker opens his own journey with remarkable honesty. Rather than offering a formula for success, he invites readers into decades of real ministry-its joys, disappointments, failures, restoration, unanswered questions and unexpected turns-to reveal the lessons that only time and God's faithfulness can teach.Drawing richly from Scripture and from the lives of Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, David, Paul and many others, this book explores the difference between desire, gifting, appointment and divine calling. It examines the relationship between identity and ministry, showing that before Christ entrusts anyone with His work, He first calls them to Himself.Along the way you will wrestle with searching questions: - How does God call people today - Does every strong desire come from God - What role should the local church play in recognising a calling - Can gifted people serve in ministry without ever being called - Why does God sometimes keep His servants waiting for years - How should Christians respond when doors close - What happens when ministry wounds the very people God has called to serve - Is your identity found in your ministry-or in Christ alone More than a book about ministry, Who Sent You is a book about surrender. It is about learning that your greatest need is not a platform but a Shepherd. Not recognition but obedience. Not success but faithfulness.Whether you are considering pastoral ministry, preparing for theological training, serving as a missionary, leading in your local church or simply seeking to understand God's will for your life, this book will challenge your assumptions, deepen your confidence in Christ and help you distinguish between being admired by people and being called by God.Because in the end, there is only one question that truly matters.Who sent you.…

It is one of the most important—and often one of the most misunderstood—questions a Christian can ask.
Many people feel a deep desire to serve Christ.
Some possess obvious gifts.
Others receive opportunities to preach, teach or lead.
But desire is not the same as calling.
Gifting is not the same as sending.
And opportunity is not always confirmation.
So how do you know?
How can you distinguish between your own ambitions and the voice of the Chief Shepherd?
How do you recognise a genuine call from Christ?
These are not merely theological questions. They are deeply personal ones. They shape the course of a lifetime. Get the answer wrong, and you may spend years pursuing a ministry Christ never intended for you—or, just as tragically, spend years resisting the very calling He has lovingly placed upon your life.
In Who Sent You?, Brendon Naicker opens his own journey with remarkable honesty. Rather than offering a formula for success, he invites readers into decades of real ministry—its joys, disappointments, failures, restoration, unanswered questions and unexpected turns—to reveal the lessons that only time and God's faithfulness can teach.
Drawing richly from Scripture and from the lives of Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, David, Paul and many others, this book explores the difference between desire, gifting, appointment and divine calling. It examines the relationship between identity and ministry, showing that before Christ entrusts anyone with His work, He first calls them to Himself.
Along the way you will wrestle with searching questions:
- How does God call people today?
- Does every strong desire come from God?
- What role should the local church play in recognising a calling?
- Can gifted people serve in ministry without ever being called?
- Why does God sometimes keep His servants waiting for years?
- How should Christians respond when doors close?
- What happens when ministry wounds the very people God has called to serve?
- Is your identity found in your ministry—or in Christ alone?
More than a book about ministry, Who Sent You? is a book about surrender. It is about learning that your greatest need is not a platform but a Shepherd.
Not recognition but obedience.
Not success but faithfulness.
Whether you are considering pastoral ministry, preparing for theological training, serving as a missionary, leading in your local church or simply seeking to understand God's will for your life, this book will challenge your assumptions, deepen your confidence in Christ and help you distinguish between being admired by people and being called by God.
Because in the end, there is only one question that truly matters.
