Informazioni sull'autore: Dr. Christopher Maloney attended Swarthmore College and got his premedical coursework done at Harvard University Extension. Then he attended NUNM, getting a Naturopathic medical degree because he saw that in his lifetime antibiotic resistance would outpace our ability to combat it. We are entering into a post-antibiotic era, and he wanted to be ahead of that tidal wave of misery looking for other solutions. After completing his degree in Oregon and interning in Singapore, Dr. Maloney moved to Maine. He practiced for a dozen years as a family practitioner and had patients come from as far away as Florida to consult with him. Dr. Maloney’s slogan was: “If you get hit by a bus, go see an M.D. If you just feel like you did, it’s time to see me.” He saw a wide range of patients who were unable to get relief from conventional medical treatments and was thrilled to improve many of their lives. In 2015, Dr. Maloney was diagnosed young with colon cancer. Miraculously he beat the odds (70% metastasis rate) and came out clear. But his close encounter with his own mortality focused him on writing for the hopeless.
