III The History of the Martyrdom of the Maccabees; and the Wars of the Jews with the Neighbouring Nations till the Final Destruction of Jerusalem by the Roman Power. IV Account of Philo's Ambassy from the Jews of Alexandria, to the Emperor Caius Caligula." Leather is marked and rubbed and split over all joints - covers are only held by cords and joints are fragile. Corners are bumped and well-scuffed. Title pages and frontis's are a little ragged, smudge marked and vol II frontis is tipped onto inside of front cover. Both front end-papers are missing, both rear end-papers are creased. Internal binding is sound, printer/publisher binding error with page 107/108 in Volume I printed back to front. Light foxing to pages facing plates but pages are otherwise clean and bright. There is minor worm damage on the lower margins of some pages in Volume II. Sixty-seven of the seventy plates described in the "Directions for Placing the Plates" are present, but not all in the described place, one being in the wrong volume. Two plates are fold out - the Temple of Solomon plate has significant creasing. Plates include a number of maps including one fold-out map ." The missing plate are Jacob, Herod and Pilate. Effetti del recesso

Delivery costs are based on parcels (books plus packaging) weighing up to 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is in excess of 1kg or 2.2lb, we will
contact you to let you know if there is a required additional delivery charge and its amount.
Please note that if you select standard shipping, tracked information may be only available to ourselves. If you require tracked shipping with tracked information available to yourself, please ensure that you contact us prior to purchase. Please do not seek a tracking number after the sale if you have not already indicated that tracking information visible to yourself will be required.
We sometimes offer significant savings on shipping when delivering more than one book to the same address.
Books sent to addresses other than those from which the payment is made may be sent by a tracked/signed for service and/or additional insurance may be taken out and an extra charge may be made for such orders. Please ensure you notify us if you are asking for books to be delivered to a different person or address that that from which the order is made (drop-shipped).
All shipped books will contain a tax invoice (receipt).
Where possible, our packaging is made from recycled materials or materials made from sustainable sources.
