Descrizione dell’articolo da parte del venditore

There are two-volumes-in-one for sale here (Volumes III and IV of a four-volume set). Volume III runs 440 pages, Volume IV 408 pages. An Index goes from page 409-460. You can see the covers in the photos. The front and rear boards have a marbled pattern, but as you can see there's a good deal of rubbing, albeit smooth, on both. The second photo will show you the spine. The front cover is held in place by only one binding, the others having come loose. So quite close to detaching. The two blank front end papers would detach with it. The rear cover is very solidly bound. All the pages, beginning with the title page, are all quite solidly bound, pretty nicely tight in fact. There is smooth rub-through on parts of the cover edges, rub-through at all four corners. The book is square and the spine is straight. In the main, the pages are in very decent condition. There is a water stain on the front inside cover and two blank front end papers. There is also an orangeish discoloration on parts of the first 19 pages, it does not impact one's ability to read. I didn't see any spotting or foxing in the book. Some of the pages have a darker tone than others. The great majority have a lighter hue. There is some occasional light creasing, not a great amount. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind, Not ex-library. There is a light dated (1878) signature on the first front end paper. There is no other writing to be found anywhere in the book. The one significant flaw: there is a loss of paper off the top edge of pages 379-380 and 381-382. 2 words are gone from one page, 4 from the next, and around a dozen from each of the next two. I didn't see any other losses. I saw only two or three minor tears. There are two fold-out maps, one titled Journies of the Israelites Thro' the Wilderness. It's in solid shape, one tear at the bottom margin, not on the map itself. The other fold-out has illustrations of Mount Tabor, Mount Horeb, Mount Carmel, and The Hill Of Moses. It has significant toning but no tears. There's also a page with two illustrations-- Mount Sinai and The Rock Of Meribah.…

Descrizione dello Store

Many of the books I will be selling can accurately be described as ranging from somewhat rare to very rare. In some cases there won't be another copy for sale anywhere on the Internet. There doesn't seem much point, for you or me, in offering something that so many others are already offering. Subject matter will range very widely, creating the possibility for people with very different interests to find something that excites them. As regards pricing, my primary goal is to sell the book. Most often I would expect my book to be the least expensive option on the Internet taking into account an appropriate comparison(what is the condition, is the dust jacket present, is the book signed, is it a first printing, etc.). More important than selling the book I want to make sure that you know, as much as is possible, exactly what you are getting. To that end, you'll notice that my descriptions of condition tend to be lengthy, and that there will always be photographs to help you draw your own conclusions. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about a given book. As regards international shipping, the first class or standard rates I charge are based on a package weight between 2 and 3 pounds. If the book is on the thin side there is a possibility that I can securely pack it up under 2 pounds in weight. If so, the shipping price will drop by around $11.00 or $12.00 to $26.00-27.00. Canada, which is less expensive drops to $18.00. You can contact me before purchasing a book for an estimate on the shipping cost. If you buy the book and it weighs in below 2 pounds you'll get a Reduced Shipping message and amount with the invoice and you'll see the lowered final cost before you make your payment.…
