Now you know about the people who played big roles in my life. Here’s a brief description of my book. This book contains a collection of poems I wrote throughout my life. I did not put them in chronological order so the reader can figure out the puzzle of my life. Let me mind you I still didn’t figure that puzzle out, and that’s what this book is about. Finding yourself isn’t the easiest so remember it’s the choices we make that define our lives. These are the choices I made the experiences I learned from. It takes a smart man to learn from his own mistakes but a wise man can learn from others. Everyone has an opinion on what life means to them. These are my opinions because I believe if you can overcome the fear of death you can truly live life.

First let me start with who I am my name is Jonathan James Owens. I was born August 25th, 1989. Growing up wasn't the easiest, my mother was hooked on drugs practically my whole life. She's clean now and has been a great supporter and inspiration in my life. (I love you mom) Now back to me growing up. My Grandmother played the roles of mother and father to me. I never met my father so my grandmother was the one playing catch with me before every baseball game, she's everything to me. (Love you grandma) Also I would like to tell you about my cousin James. He plays the biggest role in my life I love him more than anything in this world. He was born with muscular dystrophy and I've been by his side my whole life doing the best I can to make him smile. Basically these are the people in my life that molded me into the man I am today.
