Twenty-five years ago, L. Ron Hubbard created and endowed the Writers of the Future Contest as a means for new and budding writers to have a chance for their creative efforts to be seen and acknowledged. Since that time, the Contest has been a phenomenal success, inspiring a generation of new writers who have now become some of the most recognized and influential voices in the fields of science fiction and fantasy. For the first time in history, this full color coffee table style art book, presents a retrospective of a quarter century of the Contest containing over 1,100 photographs. You will find the historical highlights, the famed week-long intensive workshops, the guest speakers and presenters (who have included astronauts, industry leaders, futurists, filmmakers, actors, recording artists, and other visionaries). Each year, the awards ceremony is a celebration of creativity and the arts.
