I am author of Pink Dice and Bell Bottoms to Gucci. They are the first two parts of an intended trilogy. Pink Dice is set in the summer of 1956. Bell Bottoms to Gucci spans two decades of the 1960s & 70s. I teach creative writing at Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center in Covington, Kentucky, and am former Editor of Arts Across Kentucky magazine...was previously in advertising and have been a free-lance writer most of my life publishing in various publications. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati (BA in English), I am also author of many short stories and poetry. I've always been a non-conformist, my life revolving around writing, history, literature, music, dancing, painting, friends and family. I was thirteen when the first protests of the sixties began and can be found on Facebook posting about the turbulent 1960s & 70s epoch of American history which I consider the most exciting, complex and idealistic years of my life. My childhood was like so many baby boomers...ideal...freedom to roam our woods, roads and byways on my bike enjoying the economically robust times of the "less greedy" 1950s. In my early twenties, I spoke with Alice Roosevelt Longworth many times through the circumstance of knowing and working for a Cincinnati Longworth relative, connecting my heart to the beautiful city of Cincinnati and the noblesse oblige history of the Roosevelts. My father held FDR in high esteem which set my standards of compassion and practicality high early on in life. I believe that all good writers stand upon the backs of the masters and so I am a reader of the classics and current literary works.
