Steve Fadie

Steve Fadie is the author of "Words to the Rescue: The sentiment guide for the tongue tied" and "Words to the Rescue 2." Combined, the two books have sold more than 140,000 copies.

A former senior copywriter at one of the nation's top advertising agencies, Steve is an expert at using minimum words to achieve maximum impact. He helps individuals and companies express themselves in simple, powerful and creative ways. In November 2007, he was laid off his copy writing job after seven years. The same week, a truck pulled up to his driveway with the first 3000 copies of "Words to the Rescue" books hot off the press. Orange Sky Books was born.

A Michigan State University graduate with a degree in communications and major in advertising, Steve helps start-ups to Fortune 500 companies create compelling copy. He has worked on products and services ranging from automobiles and faucets to banking and real estate. As a member of Toastmasters International, he evaluated over 3000 speeches and won awards for spontaneous speaking and speech evaluation. He enjoys helping others prepare for speeches, create persuasive resumes, publish personal writings, edit papers and articles, write letters and email, create company names and logos and improve small business marketing.

As a life-long Michigan resident, Steve enjoys seeing Detroit re-emerge as a great city and especially likes visiting the city's Eastern Market for fresh produce, flowers and landscaping for his yard. He is a fan of Native American proverbs; kind, talented and intelligent people; HGTV; MacBook Pro laptop computers; mint chocolate chip ice cream, cats Sky and Athena and Pomeranian pup, Miko.
