Doris Lueth Stengel

Doris Lueth Stengel spent her childhood on the prairies

of North Dakota, but married into the woods and lakes

of Minnesota.

Doris attended Concordia College, Moorhead, MN

and received her BS in English Education from the

University of North Dakota. She taught in high school

and in an Alternative High School in Brainerd, MN.

She has mentored students in poetry from elementary

age into college age.

She is a member of Heartland Poets in Brainerd,

the League of Minnesota Poets and the National Federation

of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS) and has served as

president of each of these organizations. Her poetry has been

published in several journals, magazines and anthologies.

She has been married over 50 years and is mother of 3

and grandmother of 5. She resides now within blocks

of the mighty Mississippi River.
