Ed Riley

Ed Riley is a Virginia trial lawyer, U.S. Law Shield independent program attorney, and co-author of Virginia Gun Law: Armed And Educated. He has dedicated his entire 25 plus year career to defending clients before Virginia courts. During that time, he has successfully represented thousands of clients and has argued over 200 criminal & civil jury trials in both federal and state courts across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Ed maintains the highest national “AV preeminent” rating with Martindale-Hubbell for legal ability and ethical standards.

He is also routinely recognized by his peers as one of the Legal Elite as published by Virginia Business Magazine and has been consecutively selected for inclusion in the annual Virginia Super Lawyers publications by Thomson Reuters. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law. His involvement within the legal community is extensive as he chairs or co-chairs various Virginia legal organizations.
