Tom Heller

Born in 1952, Tom Heller's early childhood was somewhat idyllic. The third son in a two-parent family, he was raised in a company town where his family owned the company. He enjoyed a comfortable life and was nurtured by a loving family. He and his "gang" enjoyed the freedom of a safe neighborhood environment and took advantage of many opportunities to create harmless, often humorous, mischief.

As the 60s and 70s rolled in, the sheer number of cultural temptations was overwhelming. Now a young man, Tom's life was inundated with new technology and music, blatant use of drugs, sexual freedom, political upheaval, segregation, and the Vietnam War. And, as with most Americans of that generation, these things shaped the man he became.

Educated at Otterbein College, receiving a degree in Sociology and Education, he then toured the Pacific Rim during a three month "Semester at Sea." Add to this the many indispensable lessons learned at the renowned school of hard knocks, and you have the complete picture.

Tom had his own automotive business for 22 years and is currently semi-retired in Florida as a ReMax Hall of Fame agent. This allows him the time to enjoy writing, saltwater fishing, and his family.
