My personal and professional path was full of many twists and turns (some would call them wrong turns!). I worked at many jobs searching for the best environment, the best use of my skills and the best place to develop my potential. I never found it in a job. But, along the way, I gathered pieces of my puzzle, and eventually became an entrepreneur. My partner and I started a business together offering training, coaching and seminars, although for the last 8 years it has been my business alone. I've also been raising twin sons who accidentally received the benefits (although sometimes they didn't feel that way..) of the leadership and team-building skills I taught. One particularly successful and enjoyable class I taught for many years was nicknamed the Business Incubator. In it, I worked with hundreds of business owners and free agents on growing their income, and aligning with their purpose to experience greater fulfillment. The curriculum for this class is summarized in 'The eFormula: A Notebook for Every Entrepreneur', or 'Joy times passion squared'. Recently, I went back to school in order to learn more about how I could apply research-based practices from business and coaching to family and children. I received a M.S. in Human and Family Development with an emphasis on Program Evaluation. This new skill-set and perspective allows me to do something I never knew I loved to do until now... count! Systems, procedures, and data analysis are a few of my favorite things (sounds glamorous, doesn't it?) As a student and observer of human development, I always wanted a way to quantify intangibles, or 'soft data'. It's not an exact science, but the process of tracking and changing human behavior can certainly be more than just a guessing game (or roulette may be a more accurate description!). I love using and sharing tools to clarify measurable (and helpful) goals for people; whether they are individuals, in organizations or families. My mission is to make change and development probable for all people, by making the tools approachable.
