29x37cm. Fully hand coloured. Left and right margins extended. Excellent condition. This map by Merian is an almost identical copy of Blaeu's map of the same region, but is more uncommon than Blaeu's map. It can easily be identified as it has only two monkeys in the right lower corner of the cartouche as opposed to Blaeu's three monkey figures.
