Die Studie portr�tiert eine neue Jugendgeneration, deren Befindlichkeit, Lebensstil und Lebenslage zu Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts. Eine ungew�hnlich gro�e Stichprobe von 8.000 jungen Leuten zwischen zehn und achtzehn Jahren gibt Auskunft �ber sich, ihr Leben, ihre Umwelt, ihre Zukunft. Die im Herbst 2001 durchgef�hrte Studie verbindet Kinder- und Jugendbefragung, standardisierte Befragung, offene Fragen, freie Aufs�tze und bezieht sie auf ein breites Themen-Spektrum. Neben neu entwickelten Fragen werden Aspekte vorangegangener Kinder- und Jugendbefragungen aufgegriffen. Dadurch ist es m�glich, Trends �ber Ver�nderungen von Kindheit und Jugend in den letzten Jahrzehnten empirisch nachzuzeichnen und die heutige Jugendgeneration mit vorangegangenen Generationen zu vergleichen.
