The neatly typed letter dated May 27, 1956 is addressed to a Mr. Hart. Few light folds and staple evidence at top. Appears to be partial 8 1/2" x 11" sheet now measuring 8 1/2" x 6". The letter requests: "Dear Mr. Hart, Enclosed pleane find a check for $120 in payment for the room you have reserved for me for the five days during the Republican convention in San Francisco. I am very glad that you could find room for me. It is very long since I have been in San Francisco and it will be like going home. I shall see you then on approximately the 19th of August. I hope it is understood that this reservation is to be kept if I do not make it on the 19th. I cannot be sure that the Chicago affair will finish on schedule and since I am covering both conventions for twenty-five newspapers, I might be held up a day.
