pp: 261. FIRST EDITION. Translated from the Russian by Ruth Kisch. Introduction by Alistair Horne. This volume focuses on the last months of the war, particularly the battle for Berlin. Chuikov distinguished himself during the battle for Stalingrad. He led the 62nd Army during the invasion of Germany and capture of Berlin. This first English language edition preceded the Russian edition (1978) by some eleven years. This is a solid very good copy with very little wear to the jacket. The normally quickly fading yellow is still bright.
