First edition. PBO. Newstand Library U182. Fine, unread copy in pictorial wrappers. An exceptional copy of one of Willeford's more difficult titles. The story of an older man who falls in with a gang of crooks who are planning a supermarket robbery. Without Willeford's knowledge or approval, an in-house editor at Newsstand Library added two chapters to Willeford's original manuscript. Willeford disclaimed this book. Later he salvaged the work later using it, with only slight rewriting, as the Pop Sinkiewicz half of Sideswipe.
