First Edition, dated 1875 on the title page with no additional printings listed. Clean and tightly bound in rust pebbled cloth with gilt titles. Extremely slight edge wear to the binding only. The contents include three foldout technical diagrams (all are near fine). This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York City. There are no external indications of the library's ownership. A handwritten number and Mercantile Library stamp on the title page and some of the internal pages and a few pencil marks. A nice copy.
