First Edition, First Printing with the words "FIRST PUBLISHED IN 1937" printed on the copyright page. This First Issue dustjacket has the First Issue point with the correction of the 'e' in the 'Dodgeson' present on the rear flap. This original dustjacket has the publisher's 7s. 6.d NET printed on the front flap with some light wear to the edges. The book is bound in the publisher's green cloth and is in excellent condition. The books appears UNREAD. The binding is tight with NO cocking or leaning and the boards are crisp. The pages are clean with NO writing, marks or bookplates in the book. A fantastic copy with this scarce unrestored First Issue dustjacket. We buy Tolkien First Editions.
