South African artist duo Broomberg & Chanarin s iconic book-as-work-of-art, this is essentially a copy of the King James Bible with each page having its violent passages underlined and interspersed with images of war (taken from the photographic Archive of Modern Conflict). The work explores the relationship of biblical violence and its power structures with those of modern governance, often with visceral, disturbing results. This is the first edition produced by Mack in 2013, and is in Fine condition. A powerful object.
