The original owners put the words "quality secondhand books" on the sign and the shop, ever since, has looked to provide discerning readers with attractive options. There is a wide range in the shop, with strengths in children's literature, biography, military, general fiction, plays, religion, crime fiction and local history. While the shop caters for the locals and day-trippers from Melbourne with cheap prices, a second collection of rare, interesting and valuable books is placed online. A good range of topic areas features old, signed and rare editions, high quality art books, significant authors, local histories and limited printings.
