This is the 1870 first edition, NOT a modern reprint. Bound in full tan calf with a black spine title label. Binding is worn. Both hinges tender. Front cover barely still attached. Pages are tight and clean with no marks. Previous owner's bookplate on the inside of the front cover. No musty odor. No water damage. No soiling. Condition of the binding makes this a binding copy or a reading/research/reference copy.
