Descrizione dell’articolo da parte del venditore

Pictorial dust jacket over terracotta cloth boards with gilt titles on spine. Illustrated endpapers. 191pp with numerous black and white photographs of the journey. This is an account of a daring journey across Africa in 1933, taken by two motorists in a small Morris car, facing locusts, extreme weather, appalling roads etc. With a good deal of luck and plenty of perseverance, they made it and this book tells how. They don?t shy away from some distressing sights and this is written in both a humorous and touching way in parts. A little edge wear to the un-price-clipped jacket, spine a little sunned. Inner book near fine.
