First Edition (NAP). A Citadel-Trend book. This is a very rare hardcover. I've priced it is the least expensive despite being in equal or better condition than any other for sale. As you should be able see from the photos, the covers are exceptionally clean (note that the unusual design could be mistaken for soiling). The red lettering on the spine is very bright. The corners and edges don't appear to have any wear. The top edge of the spine has a tiny crease, and there are two small dents on the rear cover. The book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout. There are no binding issues. The first page is the title page which is unusual, but I see absolutely no indication or evidence that there was ever a front end paper (the gutter looks perfectly normal). The pages are in very nice condition. They are toned, uniformly toned, however they are also very clean. I'm not seeing any instances of soiling or staining (the title page does have more toning, or perhaps possibly foxing, off the top edge. The pages have a nice supple feeling to them. There are no markings. There is one very small address label of the previous owner just off the top edge of the front inside cover. There are no other attachments to be found anywhere in the book. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. There are great many illustrations, actually they are on just about every single page, photographs for the most part. They all appear to be in very good condition. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. It's solid, but does show some wear. There's a 1 inch tear off the bottom edge of the front just adjacent to the spine. There's a tiny loss off the top edge of the spine and just adjacent to it on the front. There are a couple of very tiny tears off both the front and rear top edge. There's also a small tear/loss near the middle of the rear cover (third photo). The flaps are in pretty decent condition with just a little bit of wear and toning at their top edges. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all, and is fitted with a protective cover. From the dust jacket: 'Never before has so much vital information about thoroughbred horse racing and pari-mutuel betting been compiled in one fascinating volume. Avid horse-follower and interested spectator alike will learn why horse racing is not only the sport of kings.'. …

Descrizione dello Store

Many of the books I will be selling can accurately be described as ranging from somewhat rare to very rare. In some cases there won't be another copy for sale anywhere on the Internet. There doesn't seem much point, for you or me, in offering something that so many others are already offering. Subject matter will range very widely, creating the possibility for people with very different interests to find something that excites them. As regards pricing, my primary goal is to sell the book. Most often I would expect my book to be the least expensive option on the Internet taking into account an appropriate comparison(what is the condition, is the dust jacket present, is the book signed, is it a first printing, etc.). More important than selling the book I want to make sure that you know, as much as is possible, exactly what you are getting. To that end, you'll notice that my descriptions of condition tend to be lengthy, and that there will always be photographs to help you draw your own conclusions. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about a given book. As regards international shipping, the first class or standard rates I charge are based on a package weight between 2 and 3 pounds. If the book is on the thin side there is a possibility that I can securely pack it up under 2 pounds in weight. If so, the shipping price will drop by around $11.00 or $12.00 to $26.00-27.00. Canada, which is less expensive drops to $18.00. You can contact me before purchasing a book for an estimate on the shipping cost. If you buy the book and it weighs in below 2 pounds you'll get a Reduced Shipping message and amount with the invoice and you'll see the lowered final cost before you make your payment.…
