Brown cloth with black lettering and elaborate black and orange cover illustration of a woman and a fox. Moderate rubbing to all edges and several spots to the boards, including an unfortunate rubbed spot right at the fox's face. Corners rubbed to boards. Hinges are weak but not broken, sewn binding is quite loose. Paper to front gutter beginning to split. Upper corner torn off of Contents page. Text is overall clean and nice but does show the occasional finger smudge. Illustrated throughout with gorgeous full-color drawings by Frederick Richardson.
