This is the undated early edition of the Dictionary of Gastronomy - which may be 1949 and a first edition. There were later editions in 1970 and 1978 which have different publishers and are somewhat different books being illustrated and with pictorial dustwrappers. This is the original edition with red boards and gilt lettering. 264pp24.5cm x 18.5cm This copy is in very Good condition, apart from slight browning to the edges of endpapers. No inscriptions or marks A very attractive early copy with a wealth of fascinating culinary details.
