This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -This book studies the alcoholism in women and men by researching the causes for addiction emergence, the consequences of excessive drinking in female and male population for their personality and social functioning and suggests what the possibility of alcoholism treatment in Slovenia is, particularly in the Society of Human Warmth (in Slovene 'Drustvo Cloveska toplina') as one of the self-help groups, where I have been working as a therapist for five years. It contains general directions for the work of group treatment in the association which includes women and men, addicted to alcohol, in the programme of initial abstinence and its long-term maintenance and rehabilitation. The second part is intended for the research of female and male drinking. It particularly deals with their coping with the disease of addiction, especially the period before the start of intensive drinking and with the ways of recognizing the harmful behaviour, as well as the question how the decision to treat was taken and how they perceive their sobriety and recognize changes during that period. The main findings of this research are summarized in the conclusion. 72 pp. Englisch.
