Our aim is also to develop operating rules f…or controlling inventory systems by mathematical analysis. For this purpose, the first task is to express the inventory system in a mathematical model of the inventory system. However, such a mathematical model is based on various assumptions and approximations that fit in the overall framework of the model. It is difficult both to devise and to operate with an accurate (real world) model. Construction of a truly realistic model is almost impossible because nobody knows what the real world is really alike. Again, even if it be possible to construct a real world model, it may not be amenable to mathematical treatment. In that event, the additional costs of deriving and solving an improved model cannot be justified. Throughout the book, I discuss various inventory models for non perishable and/or perishable items under trade credit financing. Some numerical examples are used to illustrate each model. 156 pp. Englisch.

Again, managing inv…entory in a real organizations provides an understanding that gives the managers new insights and capabilities to determine better solutions in problems like production management, supply chain management, project management, etc. Inventories are kept so that demands may be met, orders filled, requirements satisfied, etc. So the problem of analyzing inventory problems in a real environment is an eternal task. It has been argued in a large body of recent literature that fuzzy sets theory could provide an appropriate framework for dealing with uncertainties in areas where intuition and subjective judgment play an important role. In such cases uncertainty is caused by the imprecision of natural language description rather than the existence of statistical frequency of the occurrence of events. To our consideration modeling and analysis of inventory systems using fuzzy logic deserve a good platform in generating some realistic fuzzy inventory problems.
