Singley (1864-1938) was an American photography businessman who founded the Keystone View Company in 1892. The Keystone View Company was based in Meadville, Pennsylvania and became one of the world's most prominent stereographic companies. Singley had previously worked for another stereographic company, Underwood & Underwood. The Keystone View Company stayed in business until 1972 when Gifford Mast closed its Meadville manufacturing site.

This Keystone series was produced in the 1920s to be used as a diagnostic aid for optometrists in determining the correct prescription. The twelve cards are in fine condition, clean and unmarked in a Mylar sleeve.

In 1963, Keystone was sold to the Mast Development Company and continued to produce eye equipment and overhead projectors as a subsidiary. In 1972, Mast closed Keystone's last manufacturing site in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
