This stereocard shows a portrait of two people in blackface and may be a scene from a minstrel show. B. L. Singley (1864-1938) was an American photography businessman who founded the Keystone View Company in 1892. The Keystone View Company was based in Meadville, Pennsylvania and became one of the world's most prominent stereographic companies. Singley had previously worked for another stereographic company, Underwood & Underwood. The Keystone View Company stayed in business until 1972 when Gifford Mast closed its Meadville manufacturing site.

This Keystone series was produced in the 1920s to be used as a diagnostic aid for optometrists in determining the correct prescription. The twelve cards are in fine condition, clean and unmarked in a Mylar sleeve.

This pamphlet was published by the Keystone View Company and would have been used in conjunction with the company's stereocards. A list of numbered captions is presented and corresponds with a matching stereocard. The captions describe stereoviews of the"Rocky Mountain and Midwest States." The Keystone View Company was founded in 1892 by B. L. Singley. It was once the largest distributor of stereoviews and stereoscopes. In 1963, Keystone was sold to the Mast Development Company and continued to produce eye equipment and overhead projectors as a subsidiary. In 1972, Mast closed Keystone's last manufacturing site in Meadville, Pennsylvania.

A note at the bottom says the original author and publication source are unknown "but it is understood he lived many years in China and is still there.".
