Glossy frontispiece. 254 pp. Good only in blue cloth (rather severe toning to the pages, presentation bookplate inside front cover) in a poor dust jacket with tape reinforcement to the edges.).

Moderate cracking to gutters causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has minor tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

A story set in a girls boarding school by the author, who wrote quite a few in a similar vein in the 1930s and 40s, before turning to writing Romantic fiction under several pseudonyms from the 40s into the early 1980s. No publication date shown, but was originally published in 1934, this being a slightly later edition, part of the publisher's "Star Series". 256pp plus 5pp adverts, b&w frontispiece. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
