Hardcover. Condizione: Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: No Dustjacket. A good reading copy. The Book of the Mountains carries us all over the earth, through the Himalayan ranges, and mountains of Wild Wales; across the Andes, and the Pyrenees; to the High Sierras, the glacier of the Alps, to reveal the mountain world. The lure of great heights; the peaceful solitude and majesty of towering ranges; the blinding fury of mountain storms - all are reflected in these selections which have been culled from the earliest written records down to the present. The sections are: 1, Men Climb the Mountains; 2, Men Live & Work on the Moutains; 3, Men Against the Mountains; 4, Men Study the Mountains; 5, Men Fight on the Mountains; and, 6, Men Wonder at the Mystery of the Mountains.

Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Fair. A monumental anthology of 509 pages collected under five topics related to college life. Volume itself has a bookstore stamp on the title page. Book is otherwise clean & binding is tight. Dust jacket has an approximate 1 1/2" piece torn off the bottom around the spine. Much smaller tear at top of spine and frays and tears at top and bottom of the dust jacket on both the front and back covers. Book itself is in very reasonable shape but the dust jacket leaves a lot to be desired. What can I say? It has a dj of sorts. A serviceable reading copy.
