He has received the Eta Kappa Nu Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher Award (1999), the IEEE Third Millennium Medal (2000), the College Educator of the Year Award from the Technology Alliance of Central New York (2002), and the IEEE Region 1 Awards (2002, 2017).Arlon T. Adams (Ph.D., University of Michigan) was a professor emeritus in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Syracuse University, where he taught and conducted research in electromagnetics for many years, focusing on antennas and microwaves. He served as electronics officer in the U. S. Navy and worked as an engineer for the Sperry Gyroscope Company.
