Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. First Edition. Josephus Cominus; Cornelius Nepos was a Roman biographer nearly all of whose writings are lost. His only surviving work is the "Excellentium Imperatorum Vitae" (included herein pp. 1-125). This is actually only one volume of Nepos' larger "De Viris Illustribus," originally containing descriptions of foreign and Roman kings, generals, lawyers, orators, poets, historians, and philosophers. Johann Albert Fabricius (1668 - 1736) who was a German classical scholar and bibliographer included this work in his 'BIBLIOTHECAE LATINAE" (1st pub. 1703). [ ( xxxvi) , 140pp, 66] Vellum, spine with raised bands. Marble page edges. Interior of text Is tight and intact. A few margin notes. First 15 pages have a bottom margin damp stain. Slight lean.
