Splawn was involved with every aspect of the frontier. Some chapters tell of the cattle and cowboys, gold mining, British Columbia, and much more. With Plates. Splawn was President of the Washington Live Stock Association and the Cascade International Live Stock Association, and ran unsuccessfully to be Governor of Washington State.
