Two main centrifugal atomization processes are the rotating electrode process and rotating disk process. Investigation of centrifugal atomization as a method of manufacture of metal powders have demonstrated that the mechanism of comminution of liquids. The process of drop formation on a rotating electrode (or disk) in an atomization chamber is influenced by process parameters (electrode diameter or disk diameter, rotational speed, and rate of melting of feed of liquid metal) and the physical constants of the liquid metal (density, surface tension, and viscosity). 120 pp. Englisch.…
