Inside the front cover there is a neatly written name "Alice Senab". Opposite the title page is a color photograph of "Old Faithful" attached to the page. Rest of the photographs in the work are black and white. There is light wear at the head and tail of the spine and at corners. No underlining, no highlighting, no bookplates, not ex-libris, no remainder marks, no folded or dogeared pages, no foxing, no smudges. Volume itself is protected in a archival quality clear Brodart cover, easily removeable if desired. An increasing scarce work of an early treatment on Yellowstone Geysers. Gilt on front cover is sharp, gilt lettering on spine is entirely readable but not sharp. 125 pages, including an index and an alphabetical listing of geysers revised to 1946 data being from George Marler. There is a color frontispiece of Old Faithful Geyser opposite the tile page that is tipped in and in the style of early postcards of the 20th century. On the title page is the statement "Approved By the National Park Service". This brings a grin to my face as something that would be next to impossible to achieve today. But at the time, bear in mind that Clyde Max Bauer, Ph.D. was the Former Chief Park Naturalist of Yellowstone National Park. The book itself is protected in a clear archival quality Brodart cover that is easily removeable if desired. The original dust jacket is not present. Available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box.

The author was the Park Naturalist at the time of publication and on the title page of the book it states "Approved By the National Park Service". I have to chuckle at this one, for I can't imagine what it would take to get an endorsement like that these days. This is one of the early works on Yellowstone geysers and for its age, approaching a century, it is in reasonably collectible shape. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality Brodart cover. A quite nice copy, that I have tried to grade conservatively, that should belong in the hands of someone of the new generation of geyser gazers.
