Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Fine. Signed Limited Edition. One of 26 lettered copies, this being the "M" copy. Also loosely inserted are two sheets of blue writing paper with a manuscript poem handwritten in black ink by each of the co-editors and signed by their respective authors. Purdy's poem "Seal People", fills the page and is signed "Galapagos Islands | Al Purdy", the other poem by Beardsley almost fills the page and is titled "Mesa Verde". A fine unmarked copy, signed by Purdy & Beardsley on the half-title page. Both poem sheets have two horizontal fold lines, Beardsley's poem also has some minor crinkling to upper left corner, else fine. Al Purdy (1918 - 2000) wrote for well over 50 years and has been referred to as Canada's "unofficial poet laureate". He was a friend and contemporary of the Beat writer Charles Bukowski, who once said of him "I don't know of any good living poets. But there's this tough son of a bitch up in Canada that walks the line." wiki. And Lawrence of course, speaks for himself.
