Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Howard Pyle and others (illustratore). 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, black cloth boards show minor handling wear, mainly some spotting scuffing. Edges and corners also show bumps/light wear. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Pages are toned due to age and there is some scattered foxing present. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. The only evidence of handwriting found is on the front end page, where it appears an old dealer information was penciled in the corner and then later erased. The last rear end page has a small folded tear along the top edge (pictured). First edition thus with a single publication date of October 1912 and the printing code K-M on the copyright page.

Severe water damage to cover.; Spine is discolored, unreadable, splitting along the back edge, and fraying at the ends. Front cover has 3 shades of discoloring. Back cover cloth is severely thinned along the top and fore edge. Title page and picture page have yellow staining with a hinge crack.
