DJ in protective wraps taped to boards with expectable tape residue. DJ has 1" tear and two tiny tears at top of spine. Black and white line drawing illustrations by Millard McGee. Text is unmarked and not yellowed. "When, on the night before sailing, one of the midshipmen on the Antelope died of small pox, Henry Wilson, the Captain's son, unexpectedly went along to fill the gap. Henry had always longed to accompany his father on a voyage but when the excitement of sailing was past and he was alone on deck, standing his first night watch, he had a few misgivings. 'Mister Wilson,' his father was calling him now - and it was going to be hard to remember to call his father Captain. But when the sturdy little ship was wrecked on an uncharted island in the South Pacific, Midshipman Wilson proved to his father and the crew that he was willing and able to do any job for the common good. Except for a few minor details, this is a true story. Henry Wilson was a real boy who set sail with his father from Plymouth in the year 1783, bound for the China Coast. And before he got home he had been around the world." Age Level: Grades 4-8; Ex-Library; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
