Strong toning to front endpapers from laid-in news paper clipping; ink ownership inscription on front free endpaper noting book's purchase at Rutledge's plantation in April 1953 (reinforcing likelihood of being a reprint); light toning to rear endpapers. Author's ink signature "Archibald Rutledge" upon half-title page; interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is firm.
