This book was acquired from the personal library of Noel Polk (1943-2012) who, from the inscription, evidently obtained it while still a Ph.D. student at the University of South Caroline. Renowned for his scholarship regarding Southern literature, particularly the work of William Faulkner and Eudora Welty.
